Overview of JZJ2B Series Roots Water Ring Vacuum Units:

The JZJ2B series Roots water ring units consist of a Zv type Roots pump as the main pump and a 2BV2BE1 series water ring pump or Roots-water ring unit as the pre-stage pump. In addition to evacuating general gases, it can also evacuate gases containing moisture, organic solvents, or a small amount of dust. Compared with general mechanical vacuum pumps, it is not afraid of oil pollution, water vapor, or fine dust; compared with general water ring vacuum pumps, it has the advantages of high vacuum and high pumping speed under high vacuum conditions.

Precautions for Selecting Roots Units
1. Understand the composition of the gas to be evacuated, whether it contains condensable vapor, particles, dust, or corrosives. When selecting a vacuum pump, the gas composition must be known to select the appropriate pump. If the gas contains vapor, particles, or corrosive gases, auxiliary equipment such as condensers and dust collectors should be considered for installation in the pump's intake pipeline.

2. The working pressure of the Roots vacuum unit should meet the ultimate vacuum and working pressure requirements of the vacuum equipment. For example: a vacuum drying process requires a working pressure of 10 mmHg (absolute pressure), and the ultimate pressure of the selected vacuum pump should be at least 2 mmHg, preferably below 1 mmHg. Typically, the ultimate pressure of the pump should be one or half an order of magnitude higher than the working pressure of the vacuum equipment.

3. Correctly select the operating point of the Roots vacuum unit. The normal operating range of the Roots vacuum unit is the highest intake pressure ~ ultimate pressure x 5. For example: The normal operating range of the JZJB150-2.1 Roots water ring vacuum unit is 6000Pa-125Pa. This range is the normal operating pressure range after the main pump is started, and the unit has the best efficiency within this range.

4. At its operating pressure, the vacuum unit should be able to remove the total amount of gas generated during the vacuum equipment process.

5. Select the appropriate unit configuration based on actual operating conditions. For example: The maximum pumping speed and ultimate pressure of the JZJ28300-4.1 unit and the JZJ28300-2.1 unit are the same. The difference lies in their operating ranges and power consumption. The normal operating range of the JZJ28300-4.1 unit is 2000Pa-125Pa, while the normal operating range of the JZJ28300-2.1 unit is 5000Pa-125Pa. Obviously, the JZJ28300-2.1 unit has a wider operating range, but it also consumes more power. If it can be confirmed that the working pressure of the evacuated system is <2000Pa, the JZJ2834.1 unit should be prioritized to save energy. However, if the unit is required to have a strong pre-pumping capacity for the system and the unit needs to operate at a higher pressure for a longer period, it is more suitable to use the JZJ28300-2.1 unit with a larger pre-stage pump.

  Note: 1. The above table is a recommended standard series. Due to different working conditions in actual production applications, the intake gas and pressure will change a lot. Therefore, when selecting a model, the actual gas extraction process, gas release process, condensable gas condensation situation, and time change of intake pressure should be checked and calculated, or the existing equipment usage should be referred to for model selection.

  2. The technical specifications of the single pump can be found in the pump parameter table.

  3. The highest intake pressure refers to the highest pressure at which the main pump can start. Long-term operation above this pressure will cause the main pump to overload.

  4. If the vacuum pump motor, electric contact vacuum gauge, and control cabinet need explosion-proof protection, please specify when ordering. The 2BV2 series in the above table should be changed to the 2BV2-EX series, and the 2BV5 series should be changed to the 2BV6 series.
